Dr. Rajindrajith is the 2011 recipient of the IFFGD Research Award for Junior Investigator – Pediatrics.  His research aims for a better understanding of functional gastrointestinal and motility diseases in children, particularly in the developing world, including gastrointestinal motility in children with abdominal pain related disorders, understanding of aerophagia and cyclic vomiting in Sri Lankan children, and quality of life issues in children.
