Symptoms & Causes

Nearly everyone experiences unwanted digestive issues now and again. Sometimes these may be minor, other times they may be very disruptive.

A number of symptoms that occur together may characterize irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or another functional GI disorder.

Whether or not digestive symptoms arise from functional GI disorders, there may be ways to help relieve bothersome digestive symptoms.

Some patients may find it helpful to keep a daily symptom diary for 2-4 weeks to monitor foods, activities, and emotions that may be triggering troublesome symptoms.  You can download our free diary by clicking the button below
