IFFGD Standards for Collaboration

IFFGD is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to inform, assist, and support people affected by gastrointestinal disorders and related digestive problems.

We develop and implement education and research initiatives and projects that further our mission.

IFFGD must retain the independence essential to our nonprofit role as an impartial and authoritative resource. Corporate sponsors play an important role in facilitating IFFGD initiatives by contributing funding and by sharing resources. However, IFFGD must retain unrestricted control over the planning, content, objectives, methods, and execution of all initiatives and projects.

IFFGD does not endorse any products.

Consumers and patients look to IFFGD as a source of independent information and services. By focusing on overall treatment issues or strategies, we work with our supporters to bring accurate and useful information to our audience while raising public awareness about GI health issues.

IFFGD maintains transparency regarding external funding. We disclose and acknowledge the sources of support for our educational, research, or other initiatives in our publications and by other appropriate means.
