IFFGD Travel Awards

Background of IFFGD’s Travel Awards

Travel Award Winners 2023
Travel Award Winners 2023

IFFGD first offered Travel Awards in 2023. To date, we have presented Awards to 23 young investigators from around the world.

These travel awards were made possible through the money raised during IFFGD’s Annual Virtual Wellness Events. We are very grateful to all who participated in this event and donated in support of this research.

These Awards recognize the accomplishments of investigators who are engaged in significant research in the field of functional gastrointestinal (GI) disease. Our intent is to encourage the participation of clinicians and scientists in multidisciplinary efforts aimed at advancing the understanding of functional GI and motility disorders in adults and in children that can ultimately lead to better treatments and cures.

The IFFGD Travel Award recipients are determined by a Selection Committee comprised of internationally recognized experts in the field.

To be eligible, the applicant must have completed their highest level of training no more than seven years prior to application. They should also have demonstrated a record of accomplishment, and be currently active in investigating basic, translational, or clinical aspects of functional GI or motility disorders, or other neurogastroenterology topics.
