Dr. Magnus Simŕen – IFFGD Research Award Winners: Where Are They Now?

2007 IFFGD Research Award Recipient Magnus Simrén, MD, PhD

This episode is hosted by IFFGD’s Hayley McCorkle and features our 2007 Research Award Winner Dr. Magnus Simŕen. Dr. Simŕen is a professor of gastroenterology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is a senior consultant at Sahlgrenska University Hospital where he combines his research experience with clinical work. He also holds an adjunct professor of Medicine at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

His main research areas are the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, as well as the treatment of these disorders and the importance of psychological factors.
