The keynote lecture, History of Functional Gastrointestinal and Motility Disorders (FGIMDs) and IFFGD, by Dr. Douglas Drossman. Dr. Drossman received his M.D. degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his medical residency at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and NYU – Bellevue Medical Center. He subspecialized in biopsychosocial medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and in Gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina.
