Dr. Brennan Spiegel – IFFGD Research Award Winners: Where Are They Now?

2007 IFFGD Research Award Recipient Brennan Spiegel, MD, MSHS

This episode is hosted by IFFGD’s Hayley McCorkle and features our 2007 Research Award Winner Dr. Brennan Spiegel. Dr. Brenna Spiegel is the Director of Health Services Research at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center. He also is a professor of medicine and public health at both Cedar-Sinai and UCLA. Since the grant, his research has focused on disorders of gut-brain interaction and the science of interventions like virtual reality in treating these diseases.

Dr. Spiegel’s research interests have focused on acid-peptic disorders, chronic liver disease, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and functional bowel disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and dyspepsia.
