2007 IFFGD Research Award Recipient Brennan Spiegel, MD, MSHS

Dr. Brenna Spiegel is the Director of Health Services Research at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center. He also is a professor of medicine and public health at both Cedar-Sinai and UCLA. Since the grant, his research has focused on disorders of gut-brain interaction and the science of interventions like virtual reality in treating these diseases.
Dr. Spiegel’s research interests have focused on acid-peptic disorders, chronic liver disease, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and functional bowel disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and dyspepsia.
