2003 IFFGD Research Award Recipient Jyoti Sengupta, PhD

This episode is hosted by IFFGD’s Hayley McCorkle and features our 2003 Research Award Winner Dr. Jyoti Sengupta. Dr. Sengupta is a professor in the department of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He does research on basic science focusing on chronic visceral pain and abdominal pain.

Dr. Sengupta’s research interests include investigating the pathophysiology of functional bowel disorders. He is studying sensory neurons involved in gastrointestinal (GI) pain, while exploring new pharmacologic agents.
